EPL: Why I dropped Rashford for Chelsea match – Ten Hag

Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag has explained why he dropped Marcus Rashford for their game against Chelsea on Wednesday night.

Rashford came under criticism from fans and pundits over his performance in the 1-0 defeat at Newcastle.

The England forward has also been out of form, scoring just twice in the Premier League, with just one of those goals coming from open play.

Ten Hag talking to Amazon Prime about his team selection, said: “It is part of rotation. Everyone has to be ready and energized.

“We played as a team against Everton and Galatasaray. We dictated and dominated and we need to play as a team again.”

Ten Hag has instead brought Antony into the team, with Alejandro Garnacho on the left flank.
