Pep Guardiola reacts to Manchester City’s first defeat of the season

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has reacted to his side’s shock 2-1 defeat to Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday.

Wolves held on in Saturday’s Premier League encounter to beat the champions 2-1 at Molineux

Guardiola noted that Gary O’Neil’s side were a better team than his City boys, adding that they had chances to win the game but struggled to deal with transitions.

Wolves took the lead through an own-goal by Ruben Dias while Hwang Hee-chan made it two for the home side.

Julian Alvarez’s second half strike turned out only as a consolation goal for City.

Guardiola addressed the press after the game, saying, “Congratulations Wolves, they deserved it.

“We had chances and struggled to deal with transitions and they played very well.

“We were there and settled well and the question is when the opponent is faster and quicker, we have to accept it.
