Former Manchester United captain, Gary Neville, has urged the club’s new interim manager, Ralf Rangnick, to carry out a complete overhaul both on and off the pitch.
Neville stated this in a tweet, after the German’s appointment was confirmed on Monday.
Rangnick has signed a short-term contract until the end of the season, before he then takes on a consultancy role for two years.
He replaces Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who was sacked earlier this month and will take over from caretaker boss Michael Carrick.
Neville tweeted: “Welcome to the Greatest Football Club in the World Ralf Rangnick.
“A contract for 6 months to coach the team.
“A contract for 2 years to coach the club.”
