EPL: That’s good – Guardiola speaks on clash with De Bruyne over substitution

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has cleared the air on his clash with Kevin De Bruyne during their 1-1 draw at Liverpool on Sunday.

De Bruyne was furious with Guardiola, after he was substituted in the second half.

The City boss decided to bring on Mateo Kovacic as they chased a possible winner.

After De Bruyne remonstrated angrily with Guardiola, the pair could be seen on the bench arguing.

On De Bruyne being annoyed at being substituted, Guardiola told reporters: “That’s good. Have a chance next game to prove it.

We need a player who keeps the ball. Its not about pressing. [Mateo] Kovacic is really good at that. We were happy with Kevin. It’s not a problem. We’re fine.”
