EPL: Super Eagles star ruled out for two months

Super Eagles striker, Taiwo Awoniyi will be out of action for his club, Nottingham Forest for about two months.

The Nigeria international suffered a groin injury in Tricky Trees’ 1-0 away win against Southampton on January 4. He was substituted in the 70th minute after he felt soreness in his groin.

The former Liverpool man scored the decisive goal of the Premier League encounter at St Mary’s Stadium.

It has now been confirmed that Awoniyi who has been on the sideline since copping the injury will be out for around eight weeks.

According to WOTHAPPEN, Forest will be without their joint top scorer till late March.

Steve Cooper’s side are looking to bring in Chris Wood on loan from Newcastle United to bolster their attack in his absence.
