Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has refused to issue a public apology to manager Erik ten Hag.
Sancho feels the Dutchman has shown double standards in how he’s treated.
Following their 3-1 defeat to Arsenal before the international break, Ten Hag told reporters that Sancho was not named in the squad due to his performances in training.
Sancho hit back at his manager immediately, labelling the claims ‘completely untrue’ on X.
Since face-to-face talks on Monday, Sancho has deleted the tweet but the Englishman is said to be refusing to back down from his belief that he’s been used as a scapegoat.
The former Borussia Dortmund star was told to issue a public apology for his statement, and he refused to do so.
That has seen the player banished from Manchester United’s first-team training.
The Telegraph said that the England international is showing no signs of backing down and he feels wronged by Ten Hag’s ‘double standards’.
Sancho feels there’s wide inconsistencies in how Ten Hag treats him compared to some of his team-mates.
Despite the club’s Football Director John Murtough’s intervention in an attempt to sort out the dispute between the pair, it is possible that Sancho has played his last game for Manchester United.
