Bruno Fernandes has replaced Harry Maguire as Manchester United captain.
The Red Devils announced on Thursday that Fernandes is now their new club captain.
The Portugal midfielder takes the armband from Harry Maguire, who has been relieved of his duties at skipper this summer by Erik ten Hag.
Fernandes has already been United captain numerous times and Ten Hag has now chosen the influential Red Devils star as his new permanent skipper.
A club statement read: “As captain, the two-time Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year will continue to drive the highest standards throughout the squad as United push for success in the 2023/24 season and beyond.”
