Christian Eriksen and Lisandro Martinez are no longer expected to travel with Manchester United on their pre-season tour of Asia and Australia.
Martinez and Eriksen, two recent additions to the Red Devils, were supposed to travel to Australia with the rest of the team, according to initial plans.
The Red Devils and Ajax finally reached an agreement on a £46 million transfer fee on Thursday, despite Eriksen joining on a free transfer from Brentford.
However, due to unfinished paperwork, the Argentina international will no longer be joining the other players.
Instead, after the agreement is finalised, the former Ajax star will report to Carrington, where he will train with another recent addition, Christian Eriksen.
Given that the rest of the team will be departing in just over a week, Manchester United does not believe there is a need to send the two on a lengthy flight to Australia, according to the Metro.
