Manchester United defender, Eric Bailly, has tested positive for COVID.
This was confirmed by United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who said the player contracted the virus while on international duty with Ivory Coast.
Bailly missed the Red Devils’ 2-1 comeback win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.
Solskjaer, in his team’s update, disclosed that Bailly is yet to return to England and will not be available for selection for the time being.
“Unfortunately he won’t be with us for a little while,” Solskjaer was quoted by the club website after the game.
“He’s been away with Ivory Coast and he tested positive with Covid and he’s not back in the country yet.”
