Manchester United do not want their fans to buy shirts with Mason Greenwood’s name on the back.
For this reason, the club has blocked any means of the shirt being sold.
Greenwood has been on suspension from the club since January 2022.
This was following allegations of attempted rape, assault, and controlling or coercive behaviour.
However, in February this year, those charges were dropped. But the player remains subject to United’s internal investigation in Manchester.
Greenwood was recently included in the club’s retained list, but he has not been given permission to return to training.
On the club’s website, the option remains to have Marcel Sabitzer’s name on their preferred jersey, but Greenwood’s No.11 shirt cannot be chosen.
