EPL: Lampard takes decision on replacing Graham Potter at Chelsea

Former England midfielder, Frank Lampard is open to returning to Chelsea as a caretaker manager, according to the UK Times.

The Blues are searching for a new ma in charge after sacking Graham Potter on Sunday.

The club’s co-owners are keen to speak to several contenders before the end of the week.

Julian Nagelsmann, who was sacked by Bayern Munich recently, has already held talks with the Premier League side and remains under consideration.

Chelsea are also speaking to former Spain and Barcelona head coach Luis Enrique, who arrived in London on Wednesday for further talks.

Lampard is out of work after he was sacked by Everton in January, but was spotted in the director’s box at Stamford Bridge for the goalless draw with Liverpool.

It is understood the Blues are considering appointing Lampard until the end of the season and the 44-year-old is “open” to coming back to Stamford Bridge in a temporary position until the end of the season.
