EPL: Kelechi Iheanacho could be set to dump football for music

Leceister City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, has dropped a big hint he could be stepping into the studio to record music.

In his recent post on Instagram, he shared photos of himself relaxing at a scenic spot with the caption “Time to drop gbedu 🎼”.

The Super Eagles star is currently enjoying a well-deserved break, after a victorious EFL Championship season.

The Instagram post had his fans and followers expressing their excitement in the comment section, as the Super Eagles player is known for his creative musical side.

Iheanacho’s possible venture into music is a welcome development for fans who urged him to release a song some time ago, when a video of him showcasing his freestyle alongside teammate and friend Wilfred Ndidi surfaced online.

Meanwhile, Iheanacho’s outing with Leceister City at the 2023/24 EFL Championship signifies the end of his tenure with the club, as he has turned down the offer to renew his contract which will be expiring in June.

Premier League club Aston Villa has reportedly expressed its interest in signing the 27-year-old Nigerian striker.
