Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp bemoaned his team’s defending and the early goal they conceded in their 3-2 loss to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
Having won just two of their first eight games this season, the Reds currently hold a disappointing tenth place in the Premier League standings.
After the game, Klopp spoke with Sky Sports about what went wrong for his team on Sunday, saying:
“The early goal which we conceded is obviously very, very much the opposite of everything you want to have here [at the Emirates Stadium] because, with the moment Arsenal is in and the moment we are in, I think it’s really the worst thing that could happen.
“We should have defended better. Not the last pass, but before that there were four or five times were we have to interrupt the situation.
“This game is gone now, we cannot accept this situation. We did a lot of good things, scored two really nice goals, against the team in-form in the league and we’re probably the team not in-form in the league.”
