Tottenham midfielder, James Maddison regrets leaving relegated Leicester City

Former Leicester City midfielder James Maddison is regretting leaving the club this summer.

He said he never wanted to dump the Foxes off the back of their relegation from the top flight of English football.

The England international said his decision to leave Leicester at this point will scar him forever.

Maddison left Leicester City for Tottenham Hotspur this summer a month after the Foxes were relegated to the Championship.

Maddison admits how his career with the Foxes ended still hurts and always will do.

“I didn’t want to leave the club on the sour note of the relegation,” he told talkSPORT.

“It’ll scar me forever. I think so highly of the club, it’s a pride for us players.”
