EPL: Chelsea midfielder agrees deal to join Ten Hag’s side
England international Mason Mount has agreed personal terms with Manchester United as the midfielder prepares to leave Chelsea this summer.
According to the UK Telegraph, the Blues midfielder could become Erik ten Hag’s first signing of the summer.
Mount’s future at Stamford Bridge has been the subject of speculation in recent months.
The England international made only 35 appearances in all competitions for the Blues this season, as he suffered injury issues and patchy form.
He has also been linked with a move to Arsenal and Liverpool as his deal is due to expire in the summer of 2024.
New Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino had been keen to speak with the player, but the club’s owners want to cash in rather than risk losing him for nothing in 12 months.
