Manchester United midfielder, Bruno Fernandes, was angered by wonderkid Mason Greenwood for his ‘lethargic’ display in training before Saturday’s 3-1 win against Everton.
United had just one training session between their 2-1 defeat to Istanbul Basaksehir and their trip to Goodison Park on Saturday.
Greenwood was a late substitute in Turkey and was in line to start against the Toffees, given the short turnaround between the matches.
However, the 19-year-old was left out of United’s 18-man squad for the 3-1 win, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer claiming the teenager was suffering with illness.
But the Times claim that there’s a growing concern at Old Trafford over Greenwood’s application and Fernandes was said to be furious at the striker for his refusal to run for a pass during a mini-match in Friday’s session.
It’s not the first time that Fernandes has been exasperated with one of his team-mates in training, as the Portuguese was caught berating new signing Alex Telles during a training session just a fortnight into his time at the club.
