EPL: Arteta has asked about Osimhen – Wazobia FM present, Buchi Laba reveals
Popular Wazobia FM sports presenter, Buchi Laba, has claimed Arsenal is interested in signing Victor Osimhen from Napoli.
Laba, who is close to Osimhen, claims Mikel Arteta has asked about the Super Eagles striker recently.
According to him, a deal will be easier to do now, because the player has one year left on his current deal by June 2024.
He tweeted: “Mikel Arteta and Arsenal in the last 2years have enquired about Victor Osimhen Twice but Napoli refused any conversation.
“Same way they rejected €100m in 2022 from Newcastle and the bloody money from Saudi Arabia.
“Things changed now because he has 1year left on his contract.
“Arsenal main two strikers option for next season is Victor Osimhen or Sesko. Arteta made in clear. Theres 0 interest from Arsenal to Ivan Toney. Yes then but non existent now.
“Arsenal main goal is getting an Attacking Midfielder in January to challenge for the league.”
