Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana reacted to the blunder he made during their friendly game with Lens on Saturday.
The Cameroon international said he should be blamed for this particular incident and anytime the team concedes a goal.
The former Ajax shot-stopper was beaten by Lens’ stunning halfway line effort in the Red Devils’ pre-season friendly victory at Old Trafford.
Erik ten Hag’s side came from behind to beat the French side 3-1 on Saturday.
Lens’ goal came following Diogo Dalot’s error which fell for Lens’ Florian Sotoca who rifled a brilliant lob past the former Inter Milan goalie from just inside the United half.
“Like I always say, I am responsible for everything, especially when we concede goals,” he told MUTV.
Onana joined Manchester United in a £47m deal from Inter Milan this summer.
“I’m the big man at the back so I take all the criticism, all the responsibility is on me.”
