Enyimba goalkeeper, John Noble, has been called up to replace Cyprus-based Francis Uzoho in the Super Eagles squad.
Uzoho has pulled out of the squad due to illness.
He will now unavailable for Nigeria’s decisive World Cup qualifiers against Liberia and Cape Verde later this month.
Noble will now be the only player from the NPFL for the qualifiers against Liberia in Morocco on November 13 and Cape Verde three days later in Lagos.
The two other goalkeepers on the squad are Maduka Okoye of Sparta Rotterdam and Daniel Akpeyi from South African club Kaizer Chiefs.
Group leaders Nigeria need two points from the two final group games to advance to the playoffs in March next year.
