Former Nigeria number one goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama, has tipped Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe, to win the Ballon D’Or prize in future.
Enyeama stated this in a tweet, after Mbappe’s hat-trick saw PSG down Barcelona 4-1 in a Champions League last-16 tie on Tuesday.
“Mbappe is such a great player, future Ballon d’Or. Players like him make goalkeeping – such a beautiful job – a matchday dream,” Enyeama wrote.
The 22-year-old Mbappe became only the third player to score a Champions League hat-trick against Barca.
He follows in the foot steps of Faustino Asprilla, who did so for Newcastle and Andriy Shevchenko for Dynamo Kyiv (both in 1997).
In addition, he became just the second player to ever strike at least twice at Camp Nou in European Cup/Champions League action after Ferenc Puskas did so more than 50 years ago.
