Ellen White, a winning striker for England at Euro 2022, has announced she is expecting her first child.
After playing a key role in the first England women’s team to win a major trophy at the country’s home European Championships this year, White announced her retirement from football in August.
White set a record for a Lionesses player with 52 goals in 113 international appearances; only Wayne Rooney and Harry Kane (each with 53) scored more goals for both the men’s and women’s England teams.
The former Manchester City striker revealed their impending arrival on Twitter on Wednesday when she shared a photo of herself and her husband Callum Convery with the caption “Mum and Dad.”
