Ousmanne Dembele has agreed to join Chelsea, according to shocking new reports.
Dembele, who had a good run of form at the end of last season, will join the Blues on a free transfer after his contract with Barcelona expires.
The 25-year-old had several options, including staying at Barcelona or joining French giants Paris Saint-Germain.
However, according to Sunsport, Dembele has chosen to reunite with his former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel. Barcelona is set to be the biggest losers in the deal, having paid £125 million to sign Dembele from Borussia Dortmund in 2017.
However, due to the club’s financial situation, they must clear out their massive wage bill, which has resulted in the permanent sale of Phillipe Coutinho to Aston Villa.
Dembele has struggled at Barca, scoring 32 goals and assisting 34 times. Consistent injuries have kept him on the sidelines for long periods of time during his time as a Catalan.
