Cristiano Ronaldo has confirmed that he is back in training with Manchester United by posting a picture on his social media pages to make the announcement.
After being granted time away from the team due to personal issues, the forward has yet to appear for the Red Devils in pre-season.
Ronaldo missed Manchester United’s tour of Thailand and Australia and is currently attempting to force his way out of the club in search of Champions League football time.
Although the 37-year-old is determined to leave Old Trafford, United want to keep him, and Ronaldo will make himself available for selection to new manager Erik ten Hag.
The five-time Ballon d’Or posted a photo on Instagram on Saturday to indicate that he has resumed first-team training after confirming on Friday that he would likely play again in Sunday’s friendly at home against Rayo Vallecano.
He posed for the photo with Charlie McNeill, Amad Diallo, Charlie Savage, and Hannibal Mejbri.
Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid defeated Manchester United 1-0 in a preseason game in Oslo on Saturday.
