Cristiano Ronaldo, a forward for Manchester United, has denied he is currently in talks with Sporting Lisbon about a move back to Portugal.
Despite his desire to leave Old Trafford this summer, the 37-year-old is having trouble finding offers that are suitable.
Sporting Lisbon is one of the teams mentioned in relation to a Ronaldo transfer.
Over the weekend, rumours circulated that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner was in talks with business representatives about a contract.
Even according to Sport TV, Ronaldo’s vehicle was parked at the club’s stadium in Lisbon as his representatives met with Sporting management to discuss the situation.
Ronaldo, in response to an Instagram post, brushed off the rumours as “fake.”
The player was also connected to Chelsea, but Thomas Tuchel and Todd Boehly, the club’s co-owner, decided against pursuing the transfer.
