Alfe Inge, father of Manchester City goal machine Erling Haaland, has mocked Arsenal following their Community Shield Cup success on Sunday.
The Gunners beat Manchester City on penalties to claim the Community Shield on Sunday.
City took the lead through Cole Palmer in the 77th minute at Wembley but Arsenal responded through Leandro Trossard’s deflected strike in the closing stages of injury time.
The game was forced into a penalty shootout with Kevin de Bruyne missing the very first effort for Man City.
Rodri also saw his effort saved by Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, which then allowed Fabio Vieira to step up and score his penalty to seal the trophy for Mikel Arteta’s side.
Haaland did not make much impact during the game and was substituted after just 64 minutes.
But Inge mocked the Gooners after the game with a post on Twitter which read, “Well done Arsenal, great win. You must be favourites for the league now.”
