Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has been handed two new injury worries ahead of Thursday’s Premier League match at Stamford Bridge against Leicester City.
Kai Havertz and Timo Werner were both late withdrawals from the FA Cup final loss to Liverpool, joining Ben Chilwell and Callum Hudson-Odoi on the sidelines, but the former has a chance to play.
Although the Blues are guaranteed a place in the Champions League next season, Thomas Tuchel will be eager to make the most of what is left of this season.
The remaining home games of the season, as well as a meeting with Leicester City, present a great opportunity for Chelsea to give their fans something to cheer about after their team was defeated in a domestic cup final against Liverpool.
Andreas Christensen, on the other hand, may not get the opportunity to say his final goodbyes.
Tuchel stated that the Dane, who is expected to join Barcelona on a free transfer this summer, was unlikely to feature for the club again after dropping out of the FA Cup final.
Kai Havertz’s health is in doubt following a hamstring injury, while Timo Werner is also out due to the same issue.
Meanwhile, Mateo Kovacic is doubtful to participate due to an ankle injury.
Chelsea predicted XI: Mendy; James, Chalobah, Silva, Rudiger, Alonso; Kante, Jorginho; Mount, Lukaku, Pulisic
Doubts: Havertz (hamstring), Kovacic (ankle)
Injured: Werner (hamstring)
