Chelsea is prioritizing the contract renewals of N’Golo Kante and Jorginho this summer, according to reports.
Since joining the Blues, both players have established themselves as some of the best midfielders in the world, with both establishing themselves as some of the best midfielders in the world in recent seasons.
Kante joined from Leicester City in 2016, following the club’s Premier League title triumph, and Jorginho joined from Napoli in 2018.
Both players’ contracts will expire next summer, so the club may try to resolve their futures while other clubs show interest.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the duo’s contract renewals are “something Chelsea want to start discussing internally right now.”
They are believed to want to avoid the possibility of both players leaving the club on a free transfer next summer, as has already happened this window.
Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen will both leave before the start of next season when their contracts expire, with the players joining Real Madrid and Barcelona, respectively.
