Didier Drogba, a former player for Chelsea, has praised Victor Osimhen as a great attacker who he likes.
In an interview with Marco Giordano, the Chelsea legend said, “I like him (Osimhen) a lot. Great striker. He can be the best in the world and when you have the talent like he’s got, I think it’s just a question of momentum.”
Osimhen had long made it known that he admired the legendary Ivorian football player and aspired to be just like him as he developed as a player in Lagos’s streets.
The Napoli star had told the Republica Newspaper, “I like Drogba, but not just as a footballer.
“I like leaders and he was it on and off the pitch, where it counts the most. He has a personality that I admire, ” he said.
In his 381 games for Chelsea, Drogba scored 164 goals, and during his prime, he was a crucial member of the team. He has also scored the most goals in Ivorian national team history.
Prior to the start of the new season, Osimhen, who is quickly becoming a forward with international recognition, has been linked to several Premier League teams.
