Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag says he has never played his best XI since he joined the club

Erik ten Hag of Manchester United has claimed that he has never had the opportunity to start his best XI ever since he joined the club.

Ten Hag said that this is majorly due to injuries to key players.

The Dutchman said this while fielding questions from reporters ahead of United’s Champions League group stage opener against Bayern Munich.

At least five first team players have been ruled out of the game while in total,

10 players are unavailable.

Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Jadon Sancho, Antony are all unavailable.

“One thing is true – from the start of last season I don’t think I ever started with, in my opinion, the best starting XI,” Ten Hag said to the press on Tuesday.

“There were always injuries. We always got results apart from the period that we are in now. I have experienced it in the past and managed it. You have to deal with it.

“I like these situations because you have to handle it and know what to do, and that is focusing on the process.”
