Champions League: Borussia Dortmund defeat PSG to qualify for final

Borussia Dortmund defeated Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final on Tuesday night.

Matt Hummels headed in the only goal of the game in the second half to seal their win.

The German club had also won the first leg 1-0 in Germany.

Paris St-Germain have lost all six legs of their three two-legged Champions League semi-final appearances, also doing so vs Milan in 1994-95 and Manchester City in 2020-21.

In 2019-20 aka the first Covid season they beat Leipzig in a one-off semi-final in Lisbon in front of no fans.

This is just the second time a team have won both legs of a Champions League semi-final tie 1-0.

The other time it was also Borussia Dortmund, against Manchester United in 1996-97.
