Real Madrid and Liverpool will be among the favourites to win the trophy. Real Madrid is the defending champion after defeating Liverpool in last season’s final in Paris by a score of 1-0.

Who has qualified for the Champions League 2022/23 group stage?
With the exception of Eintracht Frankfurt, who won the Europa League, 26 teams have automatically qualified for the Champions League based on how they finished in the league in 2021–2022.
Six more teams will advance to the group stages if they win the play-off qualifiers.
The 32 teams will then be arranged into four separate pots for the draw, which will take place on August 25. The Champions League and Europa League champions as well as the league champions of the six top-ranked nations make up Pot 1. The rankings of club coefficients then determine pots two through four.

When does the Champions League 2022/23 group stage begin?
Tuesday, September 6, and Wednesday, September 7, will mark the first matchdays of the 2022–23 Champions League group stage.
The final matchdays are November 1 and 2, and each team plays six games in total. To make up for the winter World Cup in Qatar, the group stage has been shortened to eight weeks in total.

Where is the Champions League 2022/23 final?
The Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey, will host the 2022–23 Champions League championship match. A record-breaking UCL final featuring Liverpool defeating AC Milan took place there in 2005. The stadium has a capacity of 75,000 spectators.
