Carabao Cup: Man Utd, Man City battle to face Tottenham in final

On Wednesday night, Manchester United host Manchester City in the second Carabao Cup semi-final.

Both rivals will be looking to face Tottenham Hotspur in the final of the competition.

Spurs saw off Brentford 2-0 in Tuesday’s semi-final.

This is the fourth time the two Manchester clubs have met in the League Cup semi-finals.

They previously played each other in 1969-70, 2009-10 and 2019-20, the joint-most of any fixture along with Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur.

United are unbeaten in their last three games against City in all competitions and they haven’t gone four without defeat against their rivals since February 2011.

Tonight’s game is a one-legged affair and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be banking on home comforts to see off the defending champions and be 90 minutes away from silverware.
