Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Thomas Partey will be out for a number of weeks.
Partey missed their 5-0 win over Sheffield United in the Premier League last weekend.
The Ghana midfielder will not be part of the squad for the Gunners’ trip to West Ham in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
“I think Partey will be out for weeks. I don’t know how long, he has another appointment today.
“It’s a big concern, when Thomas is fit and available and part of the team, you see the impact on the team. This year we have more protection [in midfield] because we know what has happened.
“I’m so sorry for him. He is doing every single thing he can do right. We are all gutted for him. He has to lift himself up with our support because he’s a player who is critical for us,” Arteta said.
