Bundesliga: Why Kane’s treble for Bayern against Bochum isn’t deemed a hat-trick

Bayern Munich striker, Harry Kane, found the back of the net three times as they thrashed Bochum 7-0 in Bundesliga on Saturday.
However, the England captain may be surprised to find out that it will not go down as a hat-trick in Germany.
Kane netted his team’s second before Matthijs de Ligt and Leroy Sane made it 4-0 before the break.
He scored a penalty in the second half before setting up Mathys Tel and then getting a late goal to round off the scoring.
Although Kane would be considered a hat-trick hero by scoring three in the Premier League, things are a bit different in Germany. In order to be considered a proper hat-trick, all three goals must be scored in the same half and without anyone scoring in between.
