More updates have emerged on the future of Thomas Muller at Bayern Munich.
The veteran midfielder’s contract with the German champions is set to expire at the end of the 2023-24 season.
The latest reports in Germany suggest that there is a lack of clarity on whether he will stay beyond this season.
Other reports suggest that his time may be coming to an end, but no decisions on that have been made.
Under manager Thomas Tuchel, the attacking midfielder is no longer guaranteed a starting shirt.
However, it is clear that the former Chelsea boss would like to keep him in the squad but it is left for the player to decide.
Last summer, the midfielder decided to stay in Munich, rejecting offers from Saudi Arabia.
Speaking on the player’s future on Thursday, Tuchel said, “We want him on the team. It’s clear that he wants to keep playing. Why shouldn’t he continue playing at the highest level?
“I see him very positively. Thomas is an icon for the club, a legend. He gets the maximum respect from us”.
