Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan on Tuesday, finished first in his heat, as she began her 100m hurdles title defence at the World Athletics Championship in Budapest.
It was Amusan’s first race since she was cleared for doping by the Athletics Integrity Unit.
She clocked 12.48s (0.4) to win the fifth heat ahead of Jamaican Champion Megan Tapper who came 2nd in 12.51s and Australian Michelle Jenneke in 12.71s.
Amusan has now qualified for the semi-finals on Wednesday.
Just over a year after smashing the world record in Eugene, Oregon USA, Amusan has enjoyed a superb run of form, defending her Diamond League title in a record-breaking season that saw her set impressive records.
