EPL: Tottenham sack Jose Mourinho

Mourinho

Tottenham Hotspur have parted ways with head coach Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho replaced Mauricio Pochettino in November 2019 and led Spurs to a Europa League place in his first season.

However, results have dipped since the turn of this year and they were eliminated from the Europa League by Dinamo Zagreb.

Spurs have only picked up two points from a possible nine in their last three league games.

With Tottenham now five points adrift of the Champions League places with six league games remaining, Daniel Levy has now made the huge call to part with the man he appointed just under 18 months ago.

It now means Tottenham have to make a decision over who will be in charge of the team for Wednesday evening’s Premier League home game against Southampton and also Sunday’s Carabao Cup final against Man City.
