Bournemouth vs Chelsea: Starting XIs for EPL clash confirmed

on

Chelsea have made two changes from the team that were beaten 1-0 at home by Nottingham Forest before the international break.

The British-record £115m signing Moises Caicedo is not in the matchday squad after returning from international duty with Ecuador, while vice-captain Ben Chilwell is dropped to the bench.

Winger Mykhailo Mudryk and midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu, who makes his first Premier League start, both come in for what appears to be a formation change from Pochettino to a possible 4-2-3-1 after they lined up with three-at-the-back against Forest.

Midfielder Conor Gallagher captains the side, which has a youthful but inexperienced bench with Marc Cucurella and Noni Madueke both missing. In fact, six of the substitutes are yet to play Premier League football.

Andoni Iraola has made three changes to his Bournemouth side that drew 2-2 at Brentford last time out.

Lloyd Kelly starts at the back with Dango Ouattara and Marcus Tavernier also coming into the XI after returning to fitness.

That means Marcos Senesi, Justin Kluivert and Antoine Semenyo drop to the bench.

Adam Smith is fit again and is among the substitutes but summer signings Alex Scott and Tyler Adams are still out of contention.
