Leeds United reportedly want to sign free-agent goalkeeper Ben Foster.
The 39-year-old left Watford in June after his contract expired. The former England goalkeeper played in 26 Premier League games last year, but he was unable to stop the Hornets from being relegated to the Championship right away.
He has been strongly linked with a move to Leeds, where they are looking for an experienced deputy to replace Illan Meslier.
As their undisputed No. 1, the France U21 goalkeeper is one of Leeds’ most valuable assets. Meslier hasn’t missed many games in fact since joining the team during their promotion season.
According to the Daily Mail, they are now ready to ramp up their pursuit of Foster.
Leeds are reportedly willing to offer him a one-year contract to serve as Meslier’s second.
