Barcelona boss, Xavi, says that Marcus Rashford of Manchester United is his toughest opponent

Barcelona manager, Xavi, has named Marcus Rashford of Manchester United as his most difficult opponent since he became a manager.

KemiFilani reports that Barcelona played against Manchester United in the Europa League play-offs last season.

Manchester won the game 4-3 on aggregate after  the two legs.

Rashford scored in the 2-2 draw in Spain but could not find his feet in the return leg at Old Trafford.

But Ten Hag’s side went on to seal a 2-1 win. Despite this Xavi said that Barcelona found it tricky to mark Rashford.

“Rashford cost us a lot. Also Vinicius, [Karim] Benzema,” he told Mundo Deportivo.

On his toughest defeat he said, “The 0-3 at home against Bayern last season, which marked the final goodbye to the Champions League.

The England international has struggled to find the same form at the start of this season, scoring just once for Erik ten Hag’s side so far.
