Following an outstanding season, Manchester City has been named Club of the Year at the 2022 Ballon d’Or awards.
The Cityzens once again outdid themselves domestically in the men’s game, defeating Liverpool in a tense title match to win their sixth Premier League title and also making it to the Champions League semifinals.
In addition to making it to the FA Cup final and winning the Women’s League Cup, City’s women’s team overcame a rocky start to the WSL season to finish third in the league.
As a result of the team’s impressive performances, players like Lucy Bronze, who is now a member of Barcelona, Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne, Riyad Mahre, Ederson, Joao Cancelo, and Phil Foden were all present at the ceremony in Paris and nominated for awards on the night.
