Following Valencia’s interest in Arthur Melo, Arsenal will soon need to make a final decision on whether they want to sign the central midfielder.
Arthur was a target for Arsenal in January as they looked to bolster Mikel Arteta’s midfield options. Even the player’s agent, Federico Pastorello, was brought up in conversation by the Arsenal with Juventus.
Arthur would have been loaned out to the Emirates. He continues to play for Juventus because Arsenal was unable to complete the transfer.
Arsenal has been linked to several players recently, and reports claim technical director Edu will make an offer.
Edu and the Bianconeri chiefs allegedly resumed negotiations on Monday, according to the Italian publication TuttoJuve.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Valencia is interested in signing the Brazilian international.
Valencia cannot afford to pay Arthur’s full salary because its finances are not very strong.
