Arsenal vs Newcastle: Starting XIs for EPL clash confirmed

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta makes one change to the side that started the 1-0 Champions League defeat at Porto in midweek, with Jorginho coming in for Leandro Trossard, who drops to the bench.

There is also a place on the substitute’s bench for Brazil forward Gabriel Jesus, who has missed the previous four matches.

Arsenal XI: Raya, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Kiwior, Odegaard, Rice, Jorginho, Havertz, Saka, Martinelli.

Subs: Ramsdale, Jesus, Smith Rowe, Nketiah, Trossard, Soares, Vieira, Nelson, Elneny.

Newcastle make three changes to the side that began the 2-2 Premier League draw against Bournemouth last weekend.

Loris Karius replaces the absent Martin Dubravka in goal as he starts his first game since last term’s Carabao Cup final defeat to Manchester United.

Tino Livramento comes in for Dan Burn at left-back, while Alexander Isak comes in for Harvey Barnes in attack.
