Arsenal lost Thomas Partey to a muscular injury, during their 1-0 defeat at Aston Villa on Saturday.
The Ghana midfielder limped off during the second half at Villa Park.
Partey missed nine matches with a thigh strain between December and early-January but has started the Gunners’ last five Premier League games.
However, he pulled up with what appeared to be a hamstring issue and was replaced by Willian after 74 minutes.
“He had a muscular issue. We had to take him off and he could not continue playing,” Arteta said after the game.
Arsenal fell to their second defeat on the bounce following Tuesday’s loss against Wolves at Molineux.
