This summer, Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Manchester City attacker Raheem Sterling.
The Gunners are anxious to strengthen their offensive line ahead of next season when they are expected to fight for the Premier League title.
According to Metro UK, Mikel Arteta has made recruiting a new striker one of his top priorities ahead of the summer transfer season.
However, the Arsenal manager is said to be receptive to reinforcing other areas of his offence.
As a result, the North Londoners have identified Sterling as one of their summer objectives.
According to the Telegraph, Arsenal is keeping an eye on Sterling’s status at Manchester City and would be willing to make a play for the winger if he becomes available.
According to the source, Arteta wants to make Sterling a “focal point” of his assault, with the transfer strongly dependent on where his team finishes at the conclusion of the season.
Arsenal’s interest in Sterling comes just days after the Gunners were linked with a bid for Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus. The Emirates group is said to have begun negotiations with Jesus’ agents in order to secure his services.
The Brazilian attacker is reported to be keen to work with Arteta at the Emirates after having played under him as Pep Guardiola’s assistant at the Etihad.
