Aribo reveals real reason he dumped Rangers for Southampton

Joe Aribo, a player for Nigeria, claimed he left Scottish Premiership team Rangers in order to step outside of his comfort zone.

Aribo spent three productive years at the Ibrox before relocating to Southampton, a Premier League club, last month.

Prior to joining Rangers in 2019, the midfielder was essentially unknown. However, the Nigerian developed to become one of the team’s star players.

During his three years at Rangers, Aribo won the Scottish Premiership and Scottish Cup.

The player acknowledged that his goal in joining St. Mary’s was to test himself in a different league.

“I’ve had to work and be out of my comfort zone. That’s where you’re at your best I think, when you’re not comfortable. I believe in myself,” he told BBC.

“I wouldn’t have taken this challenge unless I thought I could showcase my talent, and that’s what I want to be able to do.”
