Anthony Martial believes Manchester United have many reasons to be optimistic heading into the second half of the season and lauds the “great dynamic” Erik ten Hag has cultivated.
After a disastrous 2021–22 season, the Red Devils have experienced a resurgence under the Dutchman, once again making a run for the top four.
After taking a break for the World Cup in Qatar, United will resume their Premier League season on Tuesday against Nottingham Forest after securing a spot in the EFL Cup quarterfinals.

Martial, who has four goals in eight games despite being limited by injury thus far, believes there is reason to believe the club can prosper this season under Ten Hag.
Anthony Martial’s statement
“Why not?” he told MUTV. “We’ve [got] a very good team of players, with a great dynamic about us and lots of victories under our belt.
“We now just to have keep on [with] those winning ways we have shown in these recent matches.
“There has been some time for rest, so we hope we will return in good shape for the challenges ahead, and to win all the matches we can.”
Martial was not present because France passed him over, while other members of United’s team, such as the central defensive trio of Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, and Harry Maguire, had successful World Cup campaigns.
However, the forward believes those who were left behind made good use of their time so they could get started right away in 2023.
“We’ve put in a lot of good work, and it has been a bit like a pre-season for us,” he added. “We’ve worked on fitness training and getting into top shape physically, and I’ve benefited a lot from that personally.”
