Pogba is set to quit Old Trafford following a six-year stint, having returned to the club in 2016.
In the midst of his upcoming departure, his future club has yet to be announced, with whispers circulating that he may join French heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain or return to Juventus in Italy.
Pogba had his most productive period as a professional football player with Juventus, and Allegri was his manager at one time.
Following Juventus’ 2-2 draw with Lazio on Monday, May 16, Allegri was asked to comment on rumors tying Pogba to a return to the Bianconeri.
Allegri, evidently angered by Juventus’ loss of a two-goal lead, was asked whether he wanted to reunite with Pogba.
“I don’t know him, who is he? Is that an English word?” Allegri said as quoted by DAZN. “I forgot, it’s been too many years.”
This is not to imply that Juventus is not interested in Pogba. In fact, The Old Lady is still considered one among the favorites to sign the superstar, who will become a free agency in a few weeks.
