Ajax intensify on Bergwijn’s chase as the Dutch club make another offer

Tottenham winger Steven Bergwijn will receive another offer from Ajax, but Spurs will not consider anything less than £25 million.

After agreeing to sell striker Sebastien Haller to Borussia Dortmund for £30.2 million, the Dutch club, which has been after Bergwijn since January, is expected to ramp up its pursuit of the 24-year-old.

Prior to the World Cup in Qatar this winter, Bergwijn is eager to join Ajax and play first-team football.

Tottenham is of the opinion that the Dutchman still has a bright future.

Tottenham will continue negotiations this week in order to acquire Middlesbrough defender Djed Spence.

Fabio Paratici can focus on other targets because club chairman Daniel Levy is reportedly personally leading the club’s pursuit of the England U21 right-back.
