During Erik ten Hag’s final home game, Ajax supporters consumed a record quantity of beer.
The Amsterdam club won the Eredivisie for the 36th time with a 5-0 victory over Heerenveen at the Johan Cruyff Arena.
In the emphatic victory, Nicolas Tagliafico, Steven Berghuis, Sebastien Haller, Brian Bobbey, and Edson Alvarez were all on target.
After the game, Ajax raised the championship and offered a special send-off to Ten Hag, who has won three of the four potential Eredivisie titles since his appointment.
Ajax fans drank a lot of beer to get in the mood for the title party.
According to Ajaxlife.nl, the home fans consumed 65,000 huge cups of beer, breaking the previous record set when the club defeated Borussia Dortmund 4-0 on 19 October.
During the action, four Heineken tankers with more than 40,000 litres of beer were stationed on the arena’s parking deck.
There were also 30,000 litres of beer in the tanks, ready for the fans to drink.
